The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination-II, 2026, to fill 394 vacancies across the Army, Navy, Air Force, and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy
Vacancy Details
- A total of 394 vacancies are available across different wings:
- National Defence Academy (NDA): 370 vacancies (Army: 208, Navy: 42, Air Force Flying: 92, Air Force Ground Duties Tech: 18, Air Force Ground Duties Non-Tech: 10)
- Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme): 24 vacancies
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Open to citizens of India, subjects of Nepal, and persons of Indian origin migrated from specific countries intending to permanently settle in India.
- Age Limit & Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates born between January 1, 2008, and January 1, 2011, are eligible.
Educational Qualifications:
- For Army Wing: 12th Class pass or equivalent.
- For Air Force, Naval Wings, and 10+2 Cadet Entry: 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. (Candidates appearing in their 12th class exam can also apply, but 11th class students are not eligible).
Training & Stipend
- Course Commencement: Training is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2027.
- Stipend during Training: Cadets receive a fixed monthly stipend of Rs. 56,100/- during their duration of training in the Service academies.

- Application Mode: Online only through the official UPSC portal at https://upsconline.nic.in.
- Application Fee: Rs. 100/-. (SC/ST candidates, female candidates, and specified wards of JCOs/NCOs/ORs are exempted from paying the fee).
