The Center for Management Development (CMD), on behalf of KSRTC SWIFT (a Kerala government establishment), has released a recruitment notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for filling up vacancies for the posts of Driver, Conductor, and Driver-cum-Conductor for operating long-distance buses on a daily wage basis.

Driver
- Vacancies: 385
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 9th standard from a recognized board or institution.
- License Requirements: Must hold a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle license with endorsements for Heavy Goods and Heavy Passengers vehicles. Must have completed 7 years of holding a motor vehicle license, out of which at least 3 years must be as a heavy motor vehicle license (this experience condition is not applicable to ex-servicemen).
- Age Limit: 21 to 55 years as of the last date for application submission.
- Physical Standards: Height: 158 cm; Chest (Normal): 76 cm, along with specified visual standards (certified by a government ophthalmologist).
Conductor
- Vacancies: 345
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board or institution.
- License Requirements: Must possess a valid Conductor license under the MV Act 1988 (candidates who have not obtained it by selection time must submit a valid license within 1 month of appointment).
- Age Limit: 21 to 55 years.
- Physical Standards: Height: 158 cm; Chest (Normal): 76 cm, along with a medical fitness certificate.
Driver-cum-Conductor - Vacancies: 310
- Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board or institution.
- License & Experience: Must possess a heavy driving license under the MV Act 1988 and obtain a Conductor license from the Motor Vehicle Department within the stipulated time after selection. Must have at least 5 years of driving experience in heavy passenger vehicles with more than 30 seats, proven via Motor Transport Workers Welfare Fund contribution receipts or government establishment experience certificates.
- Age Limit: 21 to 55 years.
- Physical Standards: Height: 158 cm; Chest (Normal): 76 cm, along with required visual standards certified by an ophthalmologist.
Remuneration and Service Conditions
- Daily Wages: Rs. 715/- for an 8-hour duty. Overtime allowance is provided at the rate of Rs. 130/- per hour. Additional incentives, batta, EPF, and ESI benefits are also applicable.
- Security Deposit: Selected candidates must submit a demand draft (DD) worth Rs. 30,000/- as an interest-free security deposit in favor of the Chairman & Managing Director, KSRTC-SWIFT.
- Service Bond: Candidates who successfully complete training must serve KSRTC SWIFT for a mandatory period of 2 years (at least 240 duties per year); otherwise, the Rs. 30,000/- security deposit will not be refunded.
- Selection Process: Shortlisted applicants will go through selection stages that include a driving skill test, written exam, and interview depending on the post, followed by a rank list valid for one year.
