Eligibility Details
The upper age limit for all the following posts is 60 years as of the crucial date of July 15, 2026. Preference is given to candidates with Dredger experience across almost all marine technical profiles.
Seaman Grade II
- Vacancies & Reservation: 3 posts (UR-2, OBC-1)
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 35,000/-
- Essential Qualifications: 10th Std Pass.
- Certifications: Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Serang/ 2nd Class Masters/ 1st Class Masters issued as per Harbour Craft Rules / I.V Act. Must hold a COP as Rating forming part of Navigational Watch (Regulation II/4 of STCW convention) and valid Basic STCW course certificates.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience as Serang or any other higher rank.
Junior Supervisor (Marine Cranes) - Vacancies & Reservation: 4 posts (UR-2, OBC-1, SC-1)
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 35,000/-
- Essential Qualifications: Passed Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Seaman Grade III - Vacancies & Reservation: 1 post (UR-1)
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/-
- Essential Qualifications: 10th Std Pass and valid Basic STCW course certificates.
- Certifications: CoC as Serang or Higher as per Harbour Craft Rules / I.V Act/ MS Act.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience on a floating craft as Seaman.
Winch Operator - Vacancies & Reservation: 4 posts (UR-2, OBC-1, SC-1)
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/-
- Essential Qualifications: 10th Std Pass and valid Basic STCW course certificates.
- Certifications: CoC as Serang or Higher as per Harbour Craft Rules / I.V Act.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience on a floating craft as seaman.
Engine Fitter - Vacancies & Reservation: 2 posts (UR-1, OBC-1)
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 30,000/- .
- Essential Qualifications: 10th Std. Pass.
- Certifications: Holding Engine Room watch keeping certificate as per STCW Reg.III/4.
GP Crew - Vacancies & Reservation: 9 posts (UR-4, OBC-3, SC-1, EWS-1)
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 29,000/-
- Essential Qualifications: 10th Std Pass and must pass the Swimming Test.
- Certifications: Valid Basic STCW certificates.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience on a floating craft as seaman.
Cook - Vacancies & Reservation: 1 post (UR-1)
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 27,500/-
- Essential Qualifications: 10th Std Pass and valid Basic STCW course certificates.
- Experience: 1 year experience in cooking of food.
Deck Hand - Vacancies & Reservation: 1 post (UR-1)
- Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 27,500/-
- Essential Qualifications: 10th Std Pass and valid Basic STCW course certificates.

Key Terms & Conditions
- Notice Period: Selected candidates must give a 3-month advance notice prior to leaving the contract engagement. Leaving without proper notice results in the forfeiture of due consolidated pay and the non-issuance of an experience certificate.
- Service Rules: Working days and hours will be on par with regular employees, including overstaying beyond normal hours during operational exigencies. Personnel cannot leave the headquarters without prior permission.
- Medical & Accommodation: Medical benefits will be on par with other contract employees of CoPA. Residential quarters of the Port may be provided subject to availability and payment of applicable user charges.
- Exclusivity: Candidates will not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of this contract.
