​The Commission has advertised a total of 3,003 tentative vacancies. These are distributed across various categories as follows:

  • Unreserved (UR): 1,534
  • OBC: 667
  • SC: 346
  • ST: 185
  • EWS: 271
  • Horizontal Reservations: Includes 101 for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and various seats for PwBD (OH: 40, HH: 40, VH: 24, Others: 15).
Educational Qualifications (EQ)

​The recruitment covers three distinct levels of education:

  • Matriculation Level: Posts requiring a 10th-standard pass.
  • Higher Secondary Level: Posts requiring a 10+2 pass.
  • Graduation & Above Level: Posts requiring a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Specific Requirements: Certain technical posts require specific diplomas or degrees in fields like Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics, as detailed in the post-specific descriptions in Annexure-III.
  • Crucial Date: Candidates must possess the required EQ as of May 4, 2026.
Age Limit (As of January 1, 2026)

​The age limit varies significantly depending on the specific post category:

  • Common Ranges: Most posts fall within ranges such as 18–25, 18–27, 18–30, or 20–25 years.
  • Upper Age Relaxations:
    • SC/ST: 5 years.​OBC: 3 years.​PwBD: 10 years (additional years added if the candidate is also OBC/SC/ST).​Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years after deduction of military service from actual age.​Central Govt. Civilian Employees: Up to 40 years (45 for SC/ST) for Group ‘C’ posts.
Salary Details (Pay Scale)

​Salaries are based on the Pay Level as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC):

  • Level 1: Typical for Multi-Tasking Staff or Attendant roles.
  • Level 2 to 5: Common for Clerical, Driver, and Laboratory Assistant positions.
  • Level 6: Includes roles like Junior Engineer, Scientific Assistant, and Stenographer Grade-II.
  • Level 7 & 8: Higher-tier roles such as Senior Research Assistant or Language Instructor.
Application Fee and Payment
  • Fee Amount: ₹100 (Rupees One Hundred only).
  • Fee Exemptions: Women candidates, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempt from payment.
  • Correction Charges: A uniform charge of ₹200 is levied for the first correction, and ₹500 for the second.
Examination Scheme
  • Structure: Three separate Computer Based Examinations based on EQ levels: Matriculation, Higher Secondary (10+2), and Graduation & above.
  • Subjects: The exam covers General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language.
  • Scoring: Each part has 25 questions (50 marks each) with a total duration of 60 minutes.
  • Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR: 30%, OBC/EWS: 25%, and Other Categories: 20%.
Application Process
  • Online Portal: Applications must be submitted via https://ssc.gov.in or the “mySSC” mobile app.
  • Live Photograph: The application module captures a real-time photograph; candidates must not upload pre-existing photos.
  • Signature: Scanned signature must be in JPEG/JPG format, between 10 to 20 KB.
  • Aadhaar Authentication: Candidates are advised to use Aadhaar-based authentication during the One-Time Registration (OTR) process.
