Age limit :
Category – i (Open Market) – 20-31 : Only candidates born between 02.01.1992 and 01.01.2003 (both dates included).
Category – ii (Ministerial) – Should not have completed 36 (Thirty six) years of age as on 01.01.2023.
Category – iii (Constabulary) – Should not have completed 36 (Thirty six) years of age as on 01.01.2023
[Relaxation in upper age limit as per para 2 of the Part II General conditions, is applicable for all the three categories.]
Qualifications :
Any Graduation.Only in the absence of sufficient number of qualified SC/ST candidates, applications of SC/ST candidates who have passed Intermediate/Pre University Examinations of recognized University shall be considered to fill up the quota reserved for them under Category (i) (As per G.O(Ms)No. 239/Home dated 04.05.1961).
Physical Qualification:
Should be Physically fit. Candidates should possess minimum physical standards as prescribed below.
Male Candidates
- Height 165.10 cm
- For SC/ST Candidates 160.02 cm
- Chest Measurement 81.28 cm
- Chest Expansion 5.08 cm
Note: No relaxation will be allowed to SC/ST candidates in the matter of chest measurement and chest expansion.
Female Candidates
- Height :160 cm
- For SC/ST Candidates :155 cm
Physical Efficiency Test for Male Candidates
Male candidates must qualify in any of the five events out of the eight specified below in the National Physical Efficiency Test of One Star Standard
- 100 Metres Run 14 Seconds
- High Jump 132.20 cm
- Long Jump 457.20 cm
- Putting the Shot (7264 gms) 609.60 cm
- Throwing the Cricket Ball 6096 cm
- Rope Climbing(only with hands) 365.80 cm
- Pull ups or chinning 8 times
- 1500 Metres Run 5 Minutes & 44 seconds
Physical Efficiency Test for Female Candidates
Female candidates should qualify in any five events out of the eight specified below in the National Physical Efficiency Test of One Star Standard.
- 100 Metres Run 17 Seconds
- High Jump 1.06 Metres
- Long Jump 3.05 Metres
- Putting the Shot (4 Kg) 4.88 Metres
- 200 Metres Run 36 Seconds
- Throwing the Throw ball 14 Metres
- Shuttle Race (25×4 Metres) 26 Seconds
- Skipping (One minute) 80 Times
