Vacancies & Commission Type

  • Vacancies: There are 90 provisional vacancies which may increase or decrease based on organizational requirements and training capacity.
  • Type of Commission: Successful completion of the course grants a Permanent Commission in the Indian Army
  • Pay on Commissioning: Fixed at Level 10 of the Pay Matrix (₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500). The estimated Cost to Company (CTC) is approximately ₹17–18 Lakh per annum (excluding free medical cover and annual home town travel).
  • Military Service Pay (MSP): Officers from the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier receive a fixed MSP of ₹15,500/- per month.
  • Dress Allowance: ₹20,000/- per year.

Eligibility Criteria

  • ​Gender & Marital Status: Open exclusively to unmarried male candidates. Candidates must give an undertaking not to marry until they complete their full training.
  • ​Age Limit: Candidates must be between 16½ and 19½ years old as of 01 January 2027. Specifically, the candidate must not be born before 01 July 2007 and not after 01 July 2010 (both dates inclusive).
  • Educational Qualification:
    • ​Must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized education board with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
    • ​It is mandatory to have appeared in the JEE (Mains) 2026 examination.

    • Nationality: Must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin migrated from specific countries with the intention of permanently settling in India (necessary certificates apply, though not required for Gorkha subjects of Nepal).

Key Application Timeline & Process

  • Application Window: Online applications open on 13 May 2026 (12:00 HRS) and close on 12 June 2026 (12:00 HRS).
  • Shortlisting Cut-off: The cut-off percentage of marks for shortlisting is tentatively scheduled to be published in the first week of July 2026.
  • SSB Interview Window: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a five-day SSB interview process tentatively scheduled from August to September 2026 onwards.
