Method of Appointment :
Direct Recruitment (Special Recruitment from among Differently abled candidates with Locomotor Disability having 40% to 60% (moderate disability) and physical requirements specified for the post of Library Assistant in G.O. (P) No. 19/2020/SJD dated 25.08.2020). Note : Applications of candidates other than those belonging to the above said category will be summarily rejected.
Age Limit :
i) Candidates born between 02/01/1977 and 01/01/2005 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.
ii) The upper age limit shall be raised by 5 years in the case of a person belonging to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe and by 3 years in the case of a person belonging to the Other Backward Classes.

Plus Two or equivalent
Note: Candidates who claim equivalent qualifications shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of certificate verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification
Mode of Selection :
i) Selection will be on the basis of Interview OR Written Test & Interview having regard to the number of candidates. If written test is conducted, it will be of Objective Type with 75 minutes duration to be answered in OMR Answer Sheet and will have 3 sections (Total 100 marks) as follows : (a) General Knowledge & Current affairs – 60 marks, (b) Basic Mathematics – 20 marks, (c) General English – 20 marks. Each question will carry 1 mark. For every incorrect answer, 1/4 mark will be deducted.
ii) The interview is for 10 Marks. The minimum marks for being included in the ranked list will be 35% in the interview
