The Department of Kerala Prisons & Correctional Services has issued a notification (KPCS/966/2026-A2) inviting applications for the temporary recruitment of four Counsellors / Social Workers on a 12-month contract basis
Important Details
- Position: Counsellor / Social Worker (4 vacancies – Kollam, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Kozhikode).
- Qualifications: MSW / MA (Psychology) in Psychiatric Social Work.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in counseling. Preference given to those with criminology/offender counseling experience or prior work with the Prisons/Social Justice Departments.
- Salary: ₹32,580 per month.
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years (no KSSR age relaxation).
- Tenure: 12-month temporary contract basis.
- Leave: Max 12 days of Casual Leave per year (max 7 consecutive days).
