Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has announced vacancies for Supervisor Trainees at the CSL AN Ship Repair Unit (CANSRU) located in Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This recruitment is specifically reserved for candidates who are domiciled in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Vacancy and Eligibility
The recruitment offers one vacancy for Supervisor Trainee (Mechanical) and one for Supervisor Trainee (Electrical).
- Education: A three-year Diploma in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized State Board of Technical Education is required. Candidates with higher qualifications, such as B.Tech, will not be considered.
- Age Limit: The upper age limit is 27 years as of 30 April 2026 (born on or after 01 May 1999).
- Physical Requirements: The roles involve working at heights, in docks, and in confined areas; therefore, these posts are not identified as suitable for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD).
Training and Salary
- Training Period: Selected candidates will undergo one year of training.
- Stipend: A monthly stipend of ₹30,000 is provided during training. Extra training hours on holidays may earn an additional stipend up to ₹3,000 per month.
- Permanent Role: Upon successful completion of training, candidates may be appointed as Assistant Engineers (PS-1 Grade) with a pay scale of ₹28,000–1,10,000.
- Post-Training Salary: Total monthly emoluments are estimated at ₹61,152, which includes Basic Pay, DA, HRA, Perks, and a Location Based Allowance.
- Service Agreement: Selected candidates must sign a bond to serve CSL for at least three years post-training or pay ₹3 Lakhs in liquidated damages.

- One-Time Registration: New applicants must first complete the One-time Registration in the SAP Online portal.
- Two-Phase Process: The application consists of the initial registration followed by the actual submission of the application against the specific post.
- Payment Amount: A non-refundable fee of ₹300 (plus extra bank charges) is required. Exemptions: Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories are not required to pay the application fee.
- Deadline: The online facility is available from 30 April 2026 until 15 May 2026.
