India Post GDS Online Engagement (Schedule-II, July 2026)
The Department of Posts has invited online applications for the engagement of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS)—including Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak across various circles.

- One-Time Registration: 31.08.2026 to 19.09.2026 (up to 17:00 Hrs)
- Application Submission & Fee Payment: 02.09.2026 to 21.09.2026 (up to 17:00 Hrs)
- Edit/Correction Window: 23.09.2026 to 24.09.2026 (up to 17:00 Hrs)
Emoluments (Basic TRCA Slabs)
- Branch Postmaster (BPM): Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 29,380
- ABPM / Dak Sevak: Rs. 10,000 – Rs. 24,470
- (Eligible for annual increments, Dearness Allowance, and other prescribed benefits).
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years as of the application closing date.
- Relaxations: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwBD (10–15 years). No upper age relaxation for EWS.
- Educational Qualification: 10th standard (Secondary School Examination) pass certificate with passing marks in Mathematics and English.
- Local Language: The applicant must have studied the prescribed local language of the respective Circle/Division at least up to the 10th standard.
- Other Requirements: Basic knowledge of computers, cycling skills, and adequate means of livelihood.
Application Fee & Selection Process
- Application Fee: Rs. 100 per applicant for all notified posts in the chosen Division.
- Exemptions: All Female candidates, SC/ST, PwBD, and Transwomen applicants.
- Selection Mode: Purely based on a system-generated merit list calculated from 10th standard marks/grades. There is no written exam or interview.
