Vacancy and Pay Scale
- Pay Scale: Pay Level-3 (Rs. 21,700 – 69,100).
- Total Vacancies (Technical & Tradesmen): 9,175 vacancies (Male: 9,096; Female: 79).
- Total Vacancies (Pioneer Wing): 20 vacancies for Male candidates (Mason: 13, Electrician: 7).
- Reservation: 10% of vacancies are earmarked for Ex-servicemen (ESM).
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- Candidates must be citizens of India.
Age Limit (as of January 01, 2026)
- Constable (Driver): 21 to 27 years (born between January 02, 1999, and January 01, 2005).
- Other Trades & Pioneer: 18 to 23 years (born between January 02, 2003, and January 01, 2008).
- Relaxations: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and Ex-Servicemen (3 years after service deduction).
Educational & Technical Qualifications
- Driver: Matriculation or equivalent; must possess a Heavy Transport Vehicle Driving License and pass the driving test.
- Mechanic Motor Vehicle: Matriculation or 10th pass (10+2 system); 2-year ITI certificate in Mechanic Motor Vehicle and 1-year practical experience OR a 3-year apprenticeship and 1-year experience.
- Other Tradesmen: Matriculation or equivalent; must be proficient in the respective trade.
- Pioneer Wing: Matriculation or equivalent; 1-year experience in masonry or electrical work (ITI certificate preferred).
Selection Process
The recruitment consists of several mandatory stages:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Specifically a race (e.g., 5 Kms in 24 minutes for Male Drivers/certain trades).
- Physical Standards Test (PST): Measurement of height (Male: 170 cm, Female: 157 cm minimum) and chest (Male: 80 cm un-expanded with 5 cm expansion).
- Computer Based Test (CBT): 100 objective questions (100 marks) covering Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge, Elementary Math, and English/Hindi.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Trade Test: Practical assessment (qualifying nature, must score 20 out of 50 marks).
- Document Verification (DV): Verification of original eligibility and domicile documents.
- Medical Examination (DME/RME): Assessment of physical and mental health.
Application Fee

- Exemptions: SC, ST, Female candidates (all categories), and Ex-servicemen are exempted from the fee.

- Candidates must upload a scanned color photograph (50-100 KB) that is not more than three months old and has the date of the photograph printed on it.
- A candidate can apply for one post in each category (one Technical/Tradesmen and one Pioneer).
