The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially released the CRP PO/MT-XVI notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officers and Management Trainees across 11 participating public sector banks for the 2027–2028 vacancies

Salary & Compensation
- Post: Probationary Officer / Management Trainee
- Scale of Pay: Basic Pay starts at ₹48,480 and moves through the scale: ₹ 48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920.
- Perks: You are eligible for standard DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), CCA (City Compensatory Allowance), and other perquisites based on individual bank policies.
Age Limit
- Minimum: 20 years | Maximum: 30 years
- Date Constraints: Born between July 2, 1996, and July 1, 2006 (both dates inclusive).
- Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and 10 years for PwBD candidates.
Educational Qualification
- Degree Required: A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India, or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
- Documentation: You must possess a valid Degree Certificate or mark sheet indicating your graduation percentage when registering online.
Application Fee (Payable Online)
- SC / ST / PwBD candidates: ₹175 (inclusive of GST)
- All other categories (General/OBC/EWS): ₹850 (inclusive of GST)
How to Apply
The application window is open from July 1, 2026, to July 21, 2026
- Document Preparation Before you open the portal Scan your passport-size photograph, signature (not in capital letters), left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration text specified in the notification.
- Online Registration On www.ibps.in Open the official IBPS link, click on “Click here for New Registration”, and enter your basic contact details to generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password.
- Fill the Form Academic & personal details Log in and fill in your educational qualification, preferred participating banks (preference list), and select your preferred exam centers.
- Upload Documents Strict size guidelines Upload the scanned copies of your photo, signature, thumb impression, and the handwritten declaration according to the specifications in Annexure III of the document.
- Payment & Final Submit By July 21, 2026 Cross-check all fields using the ‘Preview’ tab. Pay the fee online using a Debit/Credit card, Net Banking, or UPI, and save/print your final submitted application form.
