Punjab & Sind Bank is inviting online applications for the engagement of 635 Apprentices across various Indian states.

Vacancies & Training Locations

  • ​Total Vacancies: 635 seats across various States and Union Territories.
  • ​Key Regional Openings: * Uttar Pradesh: 100 seats
  • ​Punjab: 90 seats
  • ​Haryana: 50 seats
  • ​Bihar: 40 seats
  • ​Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, West Bengal: 20 to 30 seats each.
  • ​Kerala: 5 seats (distributed between Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram).

Eligibility Criteria

  • ​Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years (as of May 1, 2026). Standard government relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.
  • ​Educational Qualification: Regular Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • ​Language Proficiency: Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the applied State/UT.
  • ​Exclusions: Postgraduates, individuals with one year or more of work experience/prior training, or those who completed graduation more than 5 years ago are not eligible.

​Selection Procedure

  • ​No written exam or interview is specified for initial shortlisting; the merit list is drawn based on 10+2 (HSC) marks sorted in descending order.
  • ​The merit list is prepared State-wise, District-wise, and Category-wise.

​Terms & Stipend

  • ​Training Period: 12 Months.
  • ​Monthly Stipend: ₹12,300 per month (No other allowances or benefits are provided).
  • ​Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (No overtime allowed).
  • ​Leaves: 1 Casual Leave credited per month (maximum 4 can be availed at a time).
  • ​Employment Status: This is strictly an apprenticeship; candidates cannot claim permanent employment in the bank after completing the 12 months.

​Application Fee

  • ​SC / ST / PwD: ₹100 + applicable taxes & gateway charges.
  • ​General, EWS & OBC: ₹200 + applicable taxes & gateway charges.

How to Apply

  • ​Candidates must first register and complete 100% of their profiles on the apprenticeship portals: apprenticeshipindia.gov.in or nats.education.gov.in.
  • ​Once registered on the portal, submit the application online through the bank’s official website: punjabandsind.bank.in under the “Recruitment” section.
