The recruitment for Constable (Barber) and Constable (Washerman) within the Secretariat Security Force (SSF) is open to eligible male Indian citizens for the 2025-2026 cycle. This is a General Central Service, Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted post.
Vacancy Details
A total of 10 vacancies are available, with 10% reserved for Ex-Servicemen:
- Constable (Barber): 03 vacancies (all Unreserved).
- Constable (Washerman): 07 vacancies (5 UR, 1 SC, 1 OBC).
Pay Scale and Benefits
- Salary: Level-2 in the Pay Matrix (Rs. 19,900 – 63,200) per the 7th CPC.
- Allowances: Includes Dearness Allowance, free accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, and Leave Travel Concession.
- Pension: Governed by the “New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme”.
Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) or equivalent from a recognized board.
- Trade Skill: Candidates must pass a Trade Test in their respective profession (Barber or Washerman).
- Age Limit: Between 18 to 23 years as of April 28, 2026 (born between April 29, 2003, and April 28, 2008).
- Age Relaxations: SC candidates get 5 years, OBC (NCL) get 3 years, and specific relaxations apply to Ex-Servicemen and Departmental candidates.
Selection Process
The selection involves four distinct phases:
- Phase I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Phase II: Written Examination (50 Marks)
- Phase III: Trade Test (50 Marks)
- Phase IV: Documentation & Medical Examination
