The National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS) in Thiruvananthapuram has invited online applications for various contract positions. These roles are initially for a period of one year.

Matriculation / ITI Level
- Multi Tasking Staff on contract (Post Code 08): Requires Matriculation or equivalent pass. The age limit is 25 years with a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 15,000. Selection is via written or skill test.
- Plumber (Post Code 07): Requires ITI in Plumbing. The age limit is 50 years with a remuneration of Rs. 18,000 + HRA. Selection is via written or skill test.
Diploma / Graduate Level
- Field Assistant – Electrical (Post Code 05): Requires a 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering. The age limit is 50 years with a remuneration of Rs. 20,000 + HRA. Selection is via written or skill test.
- Technical Assistant (Post Code 04): Requires a B.Sc from a recognized University/Institute, OR a Graduate degree in Computer Science/equivalent, OR a 3-year Diploma in Computer Science. The age limit is 50 years with a remuneration of Rs. 20,000 + HRA. Selection is via written or skill test.
- Scientific Administrative Assistant (Post Code 06): Requires a Graduate degree in any discipline. The age limit is 50 years with a remuneration of Rs. 18,000 + HRA. Selection is via written or skill test.

Post Graduate / Professional Level
- Project Associate I (Post Code 03): Requires Post Graduation in Commerce with 1 year of experience in Finance & Accounts, OR Post Graduation in any discipline with 1 year of experience in administrative work. The age limit is 35 years with a remuneration of Rs. 25,000 + HRA. Selection is via written or skill test.
- Project Associate II (Post Code 02): Requires CA/CMA (Inter) or M. Com or MBA (Finance) with 2 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, OR Post Graduation in any discipline/MBA with 2 years of experience in administrative work. The age limit is 35 years with a remuneration of Rs. 28,000 + HRA. Selection is via interview.
- Hindi Translator (Post Code 01): Requires a Master’s Degree in Hindi plus a recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa. The age limit is 35 years with a remuneration of Rs. 28,000 + HRA. Selection is via interview.

- All certificates must be uploaded in .pdf format (less than 300 KB per file).
