Indian Navy Cadet Entry Scheme Apply Now

Applications are invited from unmarried men and women candidates (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) for becoming Permanent Commissioned Officers in Technical branches under 10+2 B Tech Cadet Entry Scheme after undergoing four year B Tech course at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

Vacancies & Age Criteria
​The entry is for a Permanent Commission in Technical Branches for unmarried men and women.

  • ​Mechanical Engineering: 30 vacancies. Open to men and women (maximum of 4 vacancies for women).
  • ​Electronics & Communication Engineering: 30 vacancies. Open to men and women (maximum of 4 vacancies for women).

​Age Limit:

  • Candidates must be born between July 2, 2007, and January 1, 2010 (both dates inclusive).
  • ​Based on merit and performance during training, 7 candidates from the Mechanical Engineering stream will be selected to pursue a B.Tech in Naval Architecture & Shipbuilding at NCW, Kochi.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification ​10+2 (Class XII): Passed Senior Secondary Examination or equivalent with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). ​English: Minimum 50% marks in English either in Class X or Class XII.
  • Mandatory Examination ​Candidates must have appeared for the JEE (Main) 2026 exam for B.E/B.Tech.
  • ​Shortlisting for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview will be based on the JEE (Main) 2026 All India Common Rank List (CRL) published by NTA.

Training & Benefits

  • ​Duration & Location: 4-year B.Tech course at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.
  • ​Degree: Upon successful completion, a B.Tech degree is awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
  • ​Cost: The entire cost of training—including books, reading material, entitled clothing, and messing—is borne by the Indian Navy.

Important Application Rules

  • ​Single Application Only: Submitting multiple applications for this course will lead to immediate cancellation.
  • ​Documents Required for Upload: Date of Birth proof, 10th and 12th class marksheets, JEE (Main) 2026 scorecard showing CRL, and a recent passport-size color photograph scanned in original JPG/TIFF format.
  • ​Interview Reimbursement: AC 3-tier rail fare is provided for candidates appearing for the first time for this particular type of commission. Candidates must bring a photocopy of their bank passbook or a cheque leaf showing their account details.
  • ​Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Marrying during training will result in discharge and a full refund of training costs and allowances.
