Vacancies, Posts & Pay Scale
- Total Vacancies: Approximately 12,256 positions are being filled.
- Classification: Positions span across Group ‘B’ (Gazetted and Non-Gazetted) and Group ‘C’ posts in various Central Ministries and Departments.
- Salary Structure: Salaries range from Pay Level 4 to Pay Level 8 Pay Level 8 (₹47,600 – ₹1,51,100): Assistant Audit/Accounts Officers.
- Application Period: Open from May 21, 2026, to June 22, 2026 (until 23:00 hrs).
Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limits: Calculated as of August 1, 2026. Depending on the post, the requirement is 18–27 years, 18–30 years, 20–30 years, or 18–32 years.
- General Education: A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university is the baseline requirement for most posts. Final year students can apply, provided they pass before August 1, 2026.
- Specialized Education: * JSO: Requires a Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks in Math at the 12th-grade level, or a degree with Statistics as a subject.
Examination & Application Basics
- Tier-I Layout: A 1-hour objective exam consisting of 100 questions (200 marks total) covering Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English. Crucially, it features a strict sectional timer of 15 minutes per subject and a negative marking penalty of 0.50 marks.
- Tier-II Layout: Final merit relies solely on Tier-II scores. It contains a mandatory Paper-I (broken into mathematical, reasoning, English, general awareness, computer knowledge sections, and a typing test), as well as specialized papers for statistical and audit posts.
- Application Fee: ₹100/- payable online via UPI, Net Banking, or Card. All women candidates, as well as SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen, are entirely exempted from the fee.
- Live Photograph: Pre-saved passport photo uploads are no longer used. The registration portal features a built-in module that will capture a live photograph via your device’s camera. Caps, masks, and spectacles cannot be worn during capture.
