Eligibility Criteria

• ​Essential Educational Qualification (Any one of the following full-time courses):
  • ​B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration.​BBA/MBA (Culinary Arts) from Indian Culinary Institutes under the Ministry of Tourism.​B.Sc. in Hotel Management and Catering Science.​M.B.A (Tourism and Hotel Management) from Government-recognized Universities affiliated with UGC/AICTE/Government of India/State Government.
• ​Experience: Freshers with relevant educational qualifications are eligible to apply. Preference is given to those who have previously worked with Indian Railways or IRCTC.

• ​Age Limit (as of 01/04/2026):
  • ​Upper age limit is 27 years for Unreserved (UR) candidates.​Relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years.​Relaxation for OBC: 3 years.​Relaxation for PwBD: 10 years.​Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen: Extent of service rendered in defense plus 3 years.
• ​Other Skills:
  • ​Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi are required.​Knowledge of local languages (Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam) is an added advantage.​Knowledge of computers (MS Office) and report preparation is essential.

Remuneration and Benefits

• ​Consolidated Remuneration (CTC): Rs.30,000/- per month (includes statutory deductions).
• Daily Allowance: Rs.350/- per day for on-board duty (100% for >12 hours, 70% for 6-12 hours, 30% for <6 hours).
• ​Lodging Charges: Rs.240/- for night stays at outstations.
• ​National Holiday Allowance (NHA): Rs.384/- per day.
• Medical Insurance (Reimbursable): Rs.1,400/- per month for those up to 35 years; Rs.2,000/- per month for those aged 36 to 50.

Selection Process and Interview Details

• ​Selection Method: Walk-in-interview followed by medical fitness.
